Bowls Coaching for West Melton School pupils Year 5 & 6 pupils will be having two 45 min coaching sessions on our green on three Friday mornings in November Friday Nov 8, Friday Nov 22 & Friday Nov 29, 10.00-10.45 & 11.00-11.45 each day A fun competition with parents invited is proposed for the third Friday. Volunteers from our membership are requested on each of these mornings to supervise and give basic coaching to the pupils. Please contact Alastair Wilson indicating when you assist. 2024/25 Spud Competition Norm Dunlop has run this successful competition for a number of years creating a challenge for entrants and much mirth at the spud results and judging. Norm Dunlop supplies a seed potato, a 19 litre grow bag and potato fertiliser in October for the entry fee of $6.00. At a date, to be determined, in late Feb/early March judging occurs outside the clubhouse. The aim for this year - dethrone the Dunlops winning ways.  |
