President's comment:

Welcome to the new season. The good spell of weather has meant that the first two Saturday's play has been held, without disruption, in good conditions- quite something at this time of the year.

Eight prospective members attended opening day and hopefully others will join us over the next few weeks. If you see someone new at any of the club roll-ups do introduce yourself, give them one of our flyers and help with any queries.

Our new website is proving to be a great initiative and development but it involves a different way of thinking and communicating between members and club/event organisers and between members themselves. The website is a dynamic medium and as a result requires current news, variety of content and photographs.

 Photographs

While the club has now official photographers, Brenda & Norm Dunlop, they cannot be everywhere. I ask members to take photos of any situation - on the green, in the clubhouse or elsewhere, funny or depicting despair. Then forward them to me with a short bit of text, to be included in the news on the website.

Hornby Challenge - Saturday 30 September

Bowls Hornby members turned up in force, contributing to the success of the day, held in perfect weather conditions. It was also good to have good bar turnover early in the season.

WMBC won the team challenge 9 -7 with Syd Horgan's team being the winning team.

Swell Senior Life EXPO - Lincoln Recreation Centre Tuesday 15th October 9am - 2pm

Members of the Membership & Publicity Subcommittee will be attending this event promoting our club and bowls as an outdoor activity. This will include a small artificial green outside the venue. Members are invited to join us.

Disability Carpark

The disability carpark carpark outside the clubhouse should be used only by those who have a disability sticker.
